Recreational use of cannabis is banned by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. However, the NDPS Act does not apply to the cannabis plant leaves and seeds. If CBD is derived from cannabis leaves, therefore suing it will be termed as illegal. It is claimed legal only if we use CBD oil that is produced under a license provided by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
